The lure of the road has always been a defining force for singer-songwriter Jackie Bristow. She took her first musical steps in Gore, in New Zealand’s South Island, honed her craft in the pubs and clubs of Sydney, and ultimately found her voice in the United States, where she has built a reputation as a soulful, seductive independent recording artist and compelling live performer.Like Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin and Bonnie Raitt, Jackie has created a body of work defined by finely shaded songs that are both deeply personal and quietly universal. Now, her sixth album, Goldmine, signals an uplifting commercial breakthrough, expanding Jackie’s Americana roots into a more accessible, melody-driven sound while staying true to her storytelling core.Award-winning producer and musician Matt Fell, who produced Jackie’s debut album, reunites with Jackie and Mark Punch to “make the record we always wanted to make.” The collaboration marks a full-circle return to her early Sydney years and a renewed creative chemistry.

Another powerful reconnection appears on the album’s lead single, Let It Rain, a first-ever recorded duet with Jackie’s sister Katrina Bristow. Though the sisters spent a decade touring, performing, and competing together in their youth as The Bristow Sisters, this marks their first studio collaboration — and not their last, with further songs and future projects already underway.

Let It Rain is co-written with acclaimed California singer-songwriter Rosa Pullman, a longtime friend from Jackie’s Los Angeles days — another creative reconnection that deepens the album’s themes of renewal and return.

Over two decades, Jackie has toured extensively throughout the United States, New Zealand, and Europe, opening for artists including Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, Chris Isaak, The Steve Miller Band, John Oates, John Waite, Bettye LaVette, Foreigner, Art Garfunkel, Tommy Emmanuel, Shawn Mullins, and Rick Springfield, Warratahs while also sharing bills with Tami Neilson,Barry Saunders, and Elles Bailey.

Her music has appeared in major film and television recent placements including Euphoria, Young Sheldon, Kevin Can F**k Himself, and The Brokenwood Mysteries, her songs whose resonates on screen as powerfully as it does on stage.

“I’m not 25 anymore,” Jackie says. “I’ve got the experience in life and in the industry , I love writing songs and performing and I always want to keep the innocence alive.”
